Stroke victims for stem cells

Stroke patients at last get stem cell treatments that Tissu has been advocating for years.

A Scottish company has at last been given the go ahead to proceed with the contrversial stem cell treatment that Tissu has been advocating for years. See http://www.tissustemcell.com for more details of this controversial treatment. This radical new change in the mindset of authorities is due to the pressure from lobby groups and doctors from companies such as Tissu who have been trialling this treatment with outstanding results. It was only a matter of time before health authorities could no longer refute the data that not only supported this stem cell treatment but suggested that not to treat stroke patients with stem cells would be denying many thousands of patients a better life.

We have advocated that the use of fetal embryonic cells is not necessary, but with this landmark trial hopefully the sentiment against the use of embryonic stem cells will be put to rest. The results of improvement in the quality of life for many stroke victims will be a poignant reminder of the benefits of stem cell treatments, as stroke in the developed world accounts for the leading cause of disability.
